The Dintex filter fits most other-brand pitchers with circular profile cartridges with 5 filtering phases: 1. Pre-filtration of large solid dirt particles. 2. Pre-filtration of the remaining solid dirt particles through a fine polypropylene mesh that prevents them from passing into the filtering zone. 3. Activated carbon granules that form a huge filtering surface and act as magnets that attract chlorine and other organic matter. 4. Ion exchange resin beads that attract substances in the water that generate sediment, as well as heavy metals such as lead, copper, and others. 5. Final filtration through a fine polypropylene mesh that retains any existing particles and prevents them from passing into the filtered water.
